What a whirlwind couple of years we have had! Thank you all for the continued support during times such as these.
In 2020 we built the listening room we call the Rabbit Hole. On March 10, 2020 we had our last show due to the pandemic. While those were definitely some strange and scary times, we managed to keep pushing forward and took the opportunity to focus on the listening room. We finished it in September and was able to host our first show in there, September 29, 2020. We had four shows throughout the next couple of months and picked back up in March of 2021. While things were much more hopeful for 2021, it ended up being a little more of the same. We did finish phase two which was the nest area and bathrooms. We hosted Dean Dillon on May 18th and we finished hanging sconces in the nest area that very morning! The summer proved to be difficult for many including us here at 7 Oaks. My father, James T. Hale , who had closed out our 2019 season, passed away. Overall we managed to pick back up and move forward with the series and phase three of the build, our garden. We kept capacity low and even started to find great patrons and businesses to sponsor a few shows! This help was truly a blessing during times such as these. It kept the musician working and our patrons safe.
We closed the series out with Walk Wilkins and Chris Beall November 16th.
A wonderful sold out show!
We are finally at 90% complete here at 7 Oaks, with some garden work in spring yet to be done. Overall we are so happy with the venue and space and look forward to its completion spring 2022 and sharing it with all of you!
Its been a while since I updated here (through text), but I wanted to take a minute and talk about our first series of House Concerts here at 7 Oaks. We had 7 shows and truly enjoyed every one of them. This is a dream come true for us here. We are currently into our second series and making headway towards getting our larger capacity seating listening room underway. Two years is what we are working towards. We hope you will continue to love and experience live music here with us and anywhere you can get the chance. Thanks for stopping by!
100% original music is what this talented duo brought to 7 Oaks on July 10th! A sold out show had the energy high as we listened, laughed, and connected with these two as they poured their writings into the air of the room. The guitar stylings paired with the voice of Dick LeMasters kept our ears enticed and hearts full. Douglas Greer had harmonies and lyrics that kept us both entertained and interested in what was to come next. A duo that writes, plays, sings, and can tell a story was a fantastic treat for us here at 7 Oaks Event Garden. Till next time! D^2.
What an evening!
We kicked it off with a photo shoot by Rains River photography and smoked brisket tacos!
Caleb and KC were an absolute joy to have out here at 7 Oaks Event Garden and our patrons were quite impressed with both their writing capabilities and performance of those songs that tended to mingle between a highly influenced Jason Isbell, Whiskey Myers and Shineyribs sound.
You can check them out on Facebook Caleb and the Homegrown Tomatoes
and find them on pledgemusic.com to contribute to their new album they are working to release.
Thanks for the memories and we look forward to having the band out eventually !
What. A. Night!
Austin and Jay did not disappoint!
Their Dave Mathews and Bob Marley influenced writings filled both out hearts and ears with a sound that left us wanting to hear more.
